Drawing Lines

In this Action Project, we have been studying public art and how it connects to its community. We have also been making trying to define public art. I would define public art as anything that has two things. The first thing is that it has to have a story that is behind the art. The second is that it has to be in the right place to connect the community through art. In the art piece below, my classmates and I have been working on a mural for the side of a building in Lincoln Park. We have been waling around Lincoln Park and trying to figure out how we can connect the mural we are making to the neighborhood. We even went to different places like Whole Foods and interviewed different workers to see what they think is missing and what they think about the area. CJH.
