Sundial Clock - Clondial?

This is an action project for my core class Light, Sound, and Time. This unit was all about time and how it affects us and our livelihood. We learned about many different concepts of time like the twin paradox, which is basically the theory that if one twin is sent into space and one twin stays on earth, the one on earth will appear older than the twin in space. This is because time slows down when you reach the speed of light. We also had a guest come and teach us about time and space. A very important thing we learned that ties into this action project is learning how to calculate your longitude and latitude. For this action project, I have been tasked with designing a time telling device. This was a difficult thing to create but in a video linked below, I explain how my device works, who it's made for, and why it is unique along with 5 visuals to show my design.

Below are four visuals: one, shows the volume of my device, one is a hand drawn visual of my device, one is a 3d model of my device, and the last one is a hand drawn visual of the sundial portion of my device.

In conclusion, this project was one of my favorites this term because I was able to learn about concepts I didn't even know existed. For example, time travel is technically possible if you go at the speed of light. I also learned sound is a lot slower than light. Making this project was a little difficult because I had to come up with a time telling device that was new and exciting. I also had trouble making the video but in the end I was able to put it all together.

Cardboard Camera?

This is an Action Project for my core class Light, Sound, and Time. During this Unit, we learned all about light and how it works. We also learned about how light is a part of the visible spectrum. This is a spectrum that shows the types of waves/rays that are on earth. The visible spectrum is also how we see colors. This has also helped us better understand what light is and how we use it to take pictures. For example, when you take a picture using a camera, light is used to leave a image captured onto a surface. For this project, I was tasked with making a camera from a tissue box. The camera I made is called a Camera Obscura. This camera takes light and through a little hole pastes the image onto a piece of parchment paper inside of the camera. As you can see below, those photos were taken from inside the camera when held up to a light. It also shows what the camera looks like and how it turned how after creating it. My Final Project...Is about my future.

This is the very last Action Project I will ever make. I have spent my last three years making a lot of action projects, and I am at the end of them. This last AP is for my core class Endurance. This class was all about learning how one might endure something and the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental, strength it takes to endure something. So in order to finish my last class, I need to create a survival guide on how to become an electrician, my future career. This survival guide will show how I will reach my goals and also give a timeline for how quickly I want to reach them. This is important because I am able to look back on this and show how much I have changed, and it will also help me if I get into a bad spot in my life. Overall, this AP will also show you how I plan to reach my goal and become successful in the future. Overall this class was one to remember. I was able to create a project I am proud of. I also know that this is the last action project of my time as ...

What is the Big Bang?

What was the Big Bang and how can we prove it? These are questions that scientists have been trying to answer for decades. Where did our universe come from? When did it start? Is it still going? Is there any way for us to be able to track the big bang? The big bang was billions of years ago, but how can science prove that it actually happened? If scientists can prove this then how could this affect religious beliefs? These questions have been asked, yet still remain unanswered. When asking questions, getting the answer can bring a whole lot more questions. When it comes to the creation of the universe, there are just as many questions as there are theories as to how the universe was created. Just a few of them have been stated above, and only a couple have been answered below.  But how did it begin? The universe as we know it started in one extremely hot and dense point that inflated and stretched, first at unmeasurable speeds, then slowly over time, it became measurable. 13....
