3D Print Gallery

This is an action project for one of my workshops, Digital Fabrication. This class was probably my favorite I've ever taken for the fact that I was given the opportunity to create whatever I could imagine. This class was filled with many ways to create anything. For example, I spent time working with a silhouette cutter to create a lightsaber blade that I can stick on my computer. I also spent time creating many 3d prints. I was able to create many things that I always wanted or things that I just thought were cool. I was able to create a few things that I have below in the slideshow. My favorite creation has to be the Mandalorian helmet that I made as a desk toy. It started out rough but I was able to figure out how to make anything with a 3d printer. I became an "expert" on how to use a 3d printer and I can definitely see myself creating many more things in the future. This class was filled with a lot of interesting designs and opportunities for me. I even created an online 3d model of an entire floor of my house. So please enjoy my creation gallery.

Overall, this term was really fun. I was able to create things I would only dream of. I am very proud of all of my creations. I am especially proud of the sith sticker creation. I do wish that I could've worked on using a laser cutter because it seemed really fun and also came out with really good cuts. This is probably my favorite class yet and I hope I can take it again next term.

Cardboard Camera?

This is an Action Project for my core class Light, Sound, and Time. During this Unit, we learned all about light and how it works. We also learned about how light is a part of the visible spectrum. This is a spectrum that shows the types of waves/rays that are on earth. The visible spectrum is also how we see colors. This has also helped us better understand what light is and how we use it to take pictures. For example, when you take a picture using a camera, light is used to leave a image captured onto a surface. For this project, I was tasked with making a camera from a tissue box. The camera I made is called a Camera Obscura. This camera takes light and through a little hole pastes the image onto a piece of parchment paper inside of the camera. As you can see below, those photos were taken from inside the camera when held up to a light. It also shows what the camera looks like and how it turned how after creating it. What is a Hysterectomy?

Welcome to my blog. This is an Action Project for my core class Cure. In this unit, we have been at home talking about cells, what they are, and what they are made up of. We have also taken the time to look at different types of surgeries. Also, we had two special FE guests join us through Zoom and teach us about themselves and what they know to help us get a clearer understanding. The two guests who joined us were Dr. Neeraj Jain and Kellee Athens. For this assignment, we were tasked with interviewing someone who has had any surgery performed on them. For the interview, I chose to interview someone about the surgery they had done. The surgery that was performed was a Hysterectomy which is the removal of the uterus. I have put together a slideshow below explaining all of the risk factors, side effects, and much more detail on how the surgery is performed. "No dietary restrictions. I was super groggy and just slept a lot. I was in the hospital for 1 or 2 days. It took me a week to ...

A Bridge Made of Sticks?

This is an Action Project for my core class Urban Planning. This unit has been all about bridges, equations, gravity, and Newton's Laws. This action project requires us to make a bridge out of popsicle sticks and glue. We are going to take the bridge and put 1 gallon of water on top of it to see if it will not break. This is an excellent idea because it shows gravity and its effect on objects. Newtons three laws are 1. An object will not change its motion unless acted on by an outside force. 2. F = M x A. 3. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. With these bridges, we also need to calculate the Potential/Kinetic energies, angles, and lengths of each triangle in the bridge. Below is an image demonstrating the parts of my bridge that experience compression/tension, and all of the important pieces of the bridge.  CJH/Bridge Visualisation/2021 Calculations: How many sticks did you use? A t least 60 sticks. How high will you bridge be when you put a gallon of water on i...
